General
This course gives the basic knowledge in studying modern numerical methods. After passing the course students
- know elementary theory of errors,
- can estimate errors occurring in calculation in simpliest cases,
- can interpolate with polynomials,
- can solve nonlinear equations,
- can solve nonlinear systems of equations,
- know real methods of solving linear systems,
- can numerically differentiate,
- know simple quadrature formulae and can use them in calculation of integrals.
Grading
To get a positive result, student has to solve all of the exercises given in practical lessons and get at least half of maximum points from both test works.
